Since 2005, Dr. Chiariello has offered individual treatment, family therapy and social skills training for patients of all ages. Prior to founding Chiariello Behavioral Health, she has provided clinical services for various school districts and group private practices settings in the southwest suburbs.
Dr. Chiariello specializes in treating a wide range of symptoms and diagnoses, with a primary focus on treating anxiety disorders and inattention. She provides assessment and therapy services for women who are experiencing infertility, pregnancy-related mood concerns, postpartum anxiety and OCD. Dr. Chiariello also provides support for partners and spouses who are struggling with perinatal stressors.
During treatment, you will identify your goals as Dr. Chiariello helps you improve your decision-making and build the necessary coping skills to put your plans into action. You can expect to experience an integrative approach to treatment that involves components of cognitive behavioral interventions, humanistic approaches, family systems theory and developmental models. Comprehensive treatment may include coordinating your progress with other medical providers and mental health professionals, as needed.
Additionally, Dr. Chiariello is available to help you design your parenting plan and assist with sleep training your child. Moreover, her services may include coordinating care with the local school districts to provide recommendations for IEP/504 Plans, should your child require assistance.
Dr. Chiariello is a National Register Health Service Psychologist. She completed her master’s and doctoral degrees at Illinois School of Professional Psychology. Dr. Chiariello is credentialed as both a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of Illinois.
Christine Teeling, PsyDLicensed Clinical Psychologist
Dr. Teeling is a licensed clinical psychologist with experience in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents and adults. She has provided a variety of therapeutic and psychological testing services in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Dr. Teeling’s clinical interests include the treatment of anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, relationship difficulties, trauma and loss. She sees clients of all ages and has experience in health psychology to treat issues that co-occur with physical or medical problems. Dr. Teeling also specializes in treating perinatal mood and anxiety disorder, including bipolar disorder, traumatic birth and perinatal loss. She utilizes a comprehensive approach to help clients identify the impact of lifestyle choices on their mental health.
During treatment, Dr. Teeling takes a holistic and relational approach that incorporates principles from psychodynamic, attachment and biopsychosocial theories. Through warmth and genuineness, she allows the therapeutic relationship to build. The individual needs of the client guide the course and pace of treatment. It is through this secure relationship that Dr. Teeling aims to promote insight and foster change. Therapy will seek to promote the development of healthier relationship patterns and more effective ways to manage stress.
Dr. Teeling is a National Register Health Service Psychologist. She received her master’s and doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. Currently, Dr. Teeling is credentialed as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of Illinois.
Denise Colangelo, MA, LCSWLicensed Clinical Social Worker
Denise Colangelo is a licensed clinical social worker with more than 10 years of experience providing therapeutic services for children, adolescents and adults. Prior to joining Chiariello Behavioral Health, Denise was the clinical coordinator for a therapeutic day school in the Chicagoland area. Denise provides various levels of clinical and educational services to assist children and adolescents.
Denise specializes in treating various emotional and behavioral issues, ranging from childhood to adulthood. She has experience treating children and adolescents diagnosed with developmental disorders, such as autism. Denise collaborates with clients who suffer from symptoms of depression, anxiety and inattention. She also provides support and coping techniques for women struggling with reproductive concerns, pregnancy stressors, or postpartum depression and anxiety.
During treatment, Denise applies principles of dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy and interpersonal therapy. She integrates family treatment theories to promote more appropriate coping strategies in the home and focuses on helping her clients develop more appropriate responses to daily life stressors. Denise also encourages social skills training to further enhance personal relationships and daily functioning.
Denise completed her master’s degree at the University of Chicago. Currently, she is credentialed as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and holds a Type 73 License as a Professional Educator in the state of Illinois. Denise is available to provide consultation and training to parents or school faculty, upon request.
Jennifer Vanasse, PsyDLicensed Clinical Psychologist
Licensed School Psychologist
Dr. Vanasse is a licensed clinical psychologist with more than 10 years of clinical and supervisory experience in the provision of therapeutic services and psychological testing for clients of all ages. Prior to joining Chiariello Behavioral Health, Dr. Vanasse provided various levels of behavioral health services in Massachusetts and Pennsylvania. She has experience in public and private school settings, outpatient practices and residential programs.
Dr. Vanasse specializes in treating a wide range of disorders, with a focus on treating anxiety, trauma, depression, disruptive behavior, and autism spectrum disorders. At Chiariello Behavioral Health, she offers therapeutic services for children, adolescents, and adults. Dr. Vanasse also offers parent guidance sessions to promote effective interventions in the home.
During treatment, Dr. Vanasse provides a collaborative approach that focuses on the therapeutic relationship and evidence-based interventions to promote more effective coping. Elements of cognitive behavioral therapy, collaborative proactive solutions, mindfulness and social skills training may be implemented to assist clients in achieving their individual goals.

Currently, she is credentialed as a Licensed Clinical Psychologist and a Licensed School Psychologist in both Illinois and Massachusetts.
