Chiariello Behavioral Health is offering a post-doctoral fellowship opportunity at our thriving practice. Our postdoctoral fellowship program runs 15 months to provide continuity of care for the children and families we serve. Ideal candidates must demonstrate a strong willingness to develop a steady caseload and be proficient at providing both in-person and remote therapy services.
During this experience, our trainee will learn how to build and maintain a consistent therapy caseload. The trainee will also become more proficient at clinical note writing, billing practices, and treatment planning.
At CBH, we value our clients and our community. Above all, we value our team members. We are dedicated to making CBH a great place to work and grow as a clinician. We allow space for personal and professional growth, by allowing our trainees to choose from a variety of continuing education and certification opportunities. We encourage our team members to become specialized in their areas of expertise and develop a niche within our practice.
Promoting work-life balance is central to our mission as an employer. Our office is located near major expressways, offering a shorter commute to the city of Chicago and the neighboring suburbs. While evening hours are required to meet the clinical and scheduling needs of our community, we strictly adhere to specified office hours to allow our team as much leisure time as possible. There is no on-call schedule, holiday hours or the expectation to engage in client services outside of the clinician’s scheduled office hours. Time to study for the EPPP is included within the 35-hour postdoctoral work week to encourage consistent work-life balance.
Community involvement is a core value at CBH. It is important for our new clinicians to build professional relationships at CBH and in the surrounding area. Participation in various marketing projects, networking opportunities and coordination of client care will occur on a consistent basis.
We utilize a variety of empirically supported treatment methods, including, but not limited to: CBT, ACT, EFT, ERP, trauma focused therapy, LGBTQIA affirming therapy, social skills training, play and art therapy. Our clinicians are also proficient at humanistic approaches, relational strategies, family system’s theory and developmental models. Treatment plans are customized to meet the individual needs of our clients.
Applicants must possess a doctorate in clinical psychology from an APA accredited program and have completed their pre-doctoral internship at an APA accredited or APPIC approved site. New hires who are completing current training or employment positions may be granted time to transition.
Evening hours are required to meet the clinical and scheduling needs of our community. Clinicians work at the office from 12:30pm to 8:30pm, assigned three days per week. The other two assigned days are remote, with flexible hours, to provide telepsychology and prepare for the EPPP.
