Our practice offers in-person and telehealth service options for clients of all ages. All new CBH clients must complete the initial assessment process via telepsychology so that our clinicians can determine which modes of treatment may be offered. The length of the assessment process varies for each client and may take up to three sessions. Client availability, location, presenting problem, medical history, mental health history, potential risk of illness transmission and susceptibility are some of the clinical factors that the clinician will use to determine the appropriate treatment modality offered by CBH. To maintain flexibility in scheduling, clients approved for both in-person and telehealth services may also choose to schedule telehealth at their convenience.

Do credentials matter?

Therapists come in many forms. During your search for providers, you have likely come across many different types of clinicians with varying levels of experience. At CBH, our clinicians are licensed clinical psychologists who completed at least 5 years of graduate level work to earn a doctorate in clinical psychology. They also worked at least 12 months in a postdoctoral fellowship program and passed the Examination for Professional Practice in Psychology to earn a license to practice clinical psychology in the state of Illinois.

CBH psychologists are able to provide a wide variety of therapy and assessment services for clients of all ages. We provide comprehensive care that includes coordination of treatment with other medical providers, therapists, caregivers and school faculty. We maintain a network of neuropsychologists to refer our clients for testing to rule out delays in development, cognition, and attention. Should medication be indicated, our team will refer you to a psychiatrist who is able to better assess your medication needs.
