Telepsychology

CBH offers the convenience of video sessions from the comfort and privacy of your own home. These sessions are commonly referred to as telepsychology, telehealth, or teletherapy. Sessions can be completed on any video device: computer, laptop, tablet, iPad, or smart phone.

Psychologists who are credentialed by the Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT) from the PSYPACT Commission can provide telepsychology for clients in participating states. CBH offers telepsychology under PSYPACT for clients residing in or traveling to 40+ allied states listed here.

During telepsychology sessions, both the client and clinician will agree to privacy at their respective locations. Clients must conduct their session from a confirmed location, such as their home or business address. The clinician will not allow the client to conduct the session in a moving vehicle, public place or undisclosed location.

Clients should be seated so that the device is on a flat surface. The screen must be positioned to display a direct view of each participant’s entire face. All participants who are present for the session must be within view of the camera so that the clinician is aware of who is presenting for treatment. There should not be any non-participants in the room during the session. The clinician and client agree not to record the session. All apps and notifications must be turned off on both the clinician and client’s devices.
